Shared guidance, clearer team access
This month brings steadier document preparation, better context at editing handoffs, faster alternative suggestions, clearer control over where translation rules apply, appearance that follows you across devices, and a smoother experience for joining and managing teams.
Choose your look once
Preview Light, Dark, or System when you first enter Lectio, then keep that appearance across devices. The same accessible choice is available anytime in account Settings and the translation workspace, and System continues to follow your device.
Follow comments across review views
Browse open and resolved comments across the whole document, search notes, replies, quoted text, and suggested wording with highlighted matches, and follow each thread back to its text. Compact markers keep comments easy to reach while paragraph formatting stays clear of the document.
Comments keep their place after an edit
When a translation changes under a comment, the comment keeps its place in the paragraph instead of dropping to the end. A lighter underline shows the placement is approximate, the thread says the original text changed, and its wording can no longer be applied to text it no longer matches.
Keep moving after checkout
Subscription confirmation is more resilient to a brief connection problem or a Lectio update during checkout. The confirmation page can recover from a failed download, and its Continue link remains available even if the page cannot finish loading.
See what an InDesign export changed
InDesign downloads made with a team template include a report for the exact file: fonts to install, fallback styles, and possible overflow. Confirmed styles and export settings stay as chosen, Latin fonts are preserved, and added pages keep their text connected.
Clearer subtitle views and preparation preview
Choose Translation editor, Translate with video, or Translate with timeline. The preparation preview preserves your translated word order when grouping nearby cues, protects manual changes, and adds explicit delivery review before final export.
Unfinished AI output leaves your work intact
Incomplete or incorrectly formatted AI responses no longer replace existing translations, and response wrappers stay out of your target text. If one segment fails during document translation, the remaining segments can still finish.
Translator notes follow the editing handoff
Select exact target wording during Translation to leave an anchored note for downstream editors. The context follows the document into source-aware review and editing steps, where teammates can discuss it and whoever acts on it can mark it resolved.
Preparation picks up where it left off
Long document preparation now survives app updates and temporary service interruptions, retries safely when a provider or database call times out, and preserves completed translation-memory work instead of starting the whole document over.
Term review asks each question once
A term's undecided uses now share one card that lists them all, and when the options are style variants of the same meaning, one choice covers the whole document. Genuinely different meanings still get their own stop.
See and restore any earlier version of a segment
Open a segment's full history from the workspace to see what changed at each step, who made it, and put any earlier translation back. Undo covers your own typing; this covers everything else, including AI translations and subtitle alignments.
Settle the complete sentence when one term is not enough
Any required review card can now open the complete source thought, draft and edit its full translation, and protect the confirmed wording from later batch translation. Tone and wordplay guide AI silently unless a concrete meaning risk truly needs your decision.
Faster, clearer alternative suggestions
Alternative suggestions now arrive faster during term review and when rephrasing selected text in the workspace. When a request takes longer than usual—or needs another try—Lectio keeps you informed and gives you a clear way to retry instead of failing silently.
Translations arrive one segment at a time
AI translation now fills each segment the moment it is ready, formatting and Khmer word breaks included, instead of waiting for the whole document. Rows keep their size as you scroll or click into them, formatting controls float beside the active cell, and anything you type while AI is working is kept.
Translation stays visible while it runs
AI translation now starts with one action and keeps a clear progress message visible in every workspace view—even if the original connection is interrupted. Source and target text also stay aligned beneath the formatting controls in side-by-side and parallel views.
Put translation rules where they belong
Translation rules can now apply only to you, selected teams, selected projects, or everyone. Shared rules appear clearly to teammates and are used automatically in the work they cover, without extra setup.
Simpler access, smarter assignment
Choose three explained access levels—Admin, Project manager, or Member—while workflow assignments decide who does each step, and start a new team with a recommended or alternative workflow, or customize your own before inviting people. Assignment lists suggest workflow defaults and recent assignees first, explain why, and keep everyone selectable.
A smoother path into and out of teams
Existing Lectio users can accept a team invitation without being stopped at plan setup. Owners and admins can also remove a teammate clearly while leaving that person’s account and personal work intact.
Comments fit the screen you are on
The comment column keeps its filter on one line at every width, and the document uses the space beside it instead of leaving a gutter. A marker covering several comments now opens all of them as cards where comments already live.
Comments are easier to spot in the text
Commented words now sit on a soft band that ends in a small bubble, which shows a number when several comments share a spot and turns hollow once resolved. The header has a single comments button with the open count beside it.
One place for every way of viewing comments
The header now has a single comments group: the count opens the full list, and beside it you choose to see comments in the text, beside the text, or hidden for a clean read-through. Hidden lasts only for your visit, so comments are never missed later.
